Why A Mission Trip?

Credo Short Term Mission Trips are held in conjunction with Mid Year Evangelism (MYE). Each year in the July holidays Credoites are encouraged to spend part of their holidays sharing Christ’s love with others at uni, in their community and further a-field.

MYE aims to:

· Be a practical outworking of Credo’s third “G” - Giving ourselves for Christ

· Show Christ’s love to others, in Australia and overseas

· Encourage spiritual growth in team members

· To keep mission and evangelism on the Credo agenda—each student who participates in MYE does not do so on their own but is sent, prayed for and encouraged by Credo as a whole.

In 2007 as part of MYE Credo is sending a team to Mongolia to work with V.E.T. Net

V.E.T. Net

Mongolia V.E.T. Net is a Non-Government Organization that was registered in August 2003. It is the continuation of a multi-faceted project started by Christian Veterinary Mission in 1995.

V.E.T Net has established a number of projects designed to help the Mongolian people improve their livestock production, better educate their children, and improve pet care.

“Of course there is a deeper reason for being here…we want to gain the opportunity to share in a loving way the message of Jesus Christ…that He loves each one of us and wants to be personally involved in our lives. We hope that you will come and share with us in this vibrant ministry to these people.”

Gerald Mitchum, V.E.T.Net founder

In Mongolia

The Credo team will be working with V.E.T.Net’s “Claim a County” for Christ project, teaching English in a Rural Summer School. English clases are a great way to engage with the Mongolian people and lead to many opportunities to share the good news of Jesus with them.
